THE STOKA THEOREM - A SIDE STORY OF PHYSICS IN GRAVITATIONAL FIELD

ABSTRACT: An instrument specifically designed for geometrical use - a theorem by M. I. Stoka - is here used for the benefit of Physics. While this involves a kind of old style geometrization of the Physics, it allows connections deeper than ever between concepts related to measurement in problems of Fundamental Physics. We reveal those connections while reporting on the analysis of a measurement process in gravitational field. The instrument of measurement taken into consideration is the harmonic oscillator.
