V. Conclusions
It is indeed an attractive thought to consider that the pyramids have been constructed with a specific technological purpose in mind. Their small deviation from the ideal physical case seems to plead for it. If it proves to be true, we have to change our perception of History in general and of Religion in particular. The considerations above plead for a concerted effort to clearly date the age of these constructions.
In making up our mind regarding these things, we might want to consider some esoteric writings, such as Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus, as having a common origin with the wisdom of pyramids. Indeed, one of the lines of Tablet for instance says: “You shall separate the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross, suavely, and with great ingenuity and skill. Your skillful work ascends from earth to heaven and descends to earth again, and receives the power of the superiors and of the inferiors”. We do not see why “ingenuity and skill” could not refer to a correctly constructed half octahedron, for as we have seen before this can separate the earth (Matter) from fire (the fabric of Space). By the very same token we cannot see why the “skillful work” which receives “the power of the superiors and inferiors” could not be the result of this technological construction in use for the benefit of society. It is then only natural that this initial Science has been corrupted by human nature into some kind of Religion, thus giving privilege, as always, to certain social classes and individuals. This natural social phenomenon only parallels, and possibly accelerates, the one of evolution of the Matter ending up in the loss of initial properties of the Great Pyramid and making it an useless construction.
Regarding the age of pyramids, there is no way to tell anything with certainty, inasmuch as we do not know with certainty the rate of growth of Earth’s radius. The estimates given here place the age of the pyramids among the characteristic times of motion of the fixed stars. There may be some truth after all, for the claim that there is an intimate relationship between the stars from the belt of Orion and the three pyramids from Giza Plateau. However, if the rate of growth of Earth radius is taken only an order of magnitude higher, then their ages fall into the range accepted by the historians. It may be then that Khafre and Menkaure have been build later on with the known human resources, and that Herodotus for instance, reports a witnessed fact, not related however to the Great Pyramid but to its neighbors. As always in any human venture, the truth should be somewhere between the two extremes.
