ABSTRACT: General Relativity assumes that our life proceeds in a four dimensional continuum space-time. Two are the basic ingredients of its mathematics: the metric of this continuum and its connection. While the metric, allegedly representing the gravitational field, is a direct generalization of the metric of Special Relativity, the connection comes as a generalization of the classical Newtonian description of the planetary motion. This is its story.
