THE CASE OF BANISHED FORCES - A WAY TO LOOK AT INTERACTIONS

VI. Conclusions
Ever since the times of Newton we disciplined our reason in search for forces explaining the natural facts. For this we just needed the observation of individual events. As the observation of individual events cannot evidentiate but forces, the general properties of these forces cannot be extended back to represent the properties of the interactions they represent. Indeed, those interactions are properties of the whole, while the forces by which we model them are properties of the parts we are able to observe.
One of the properties of forces extended by default to the interactions they represent is that of centrality. The extension we are talking about had the unfortunate consequence of elimination of some forces in order to define the absolute temperature by the intermediary of an ideal gas. However, when the temperature was used in real situations, it led to contradictions indicating that the forces are there, in spite of the fact that the science acted like they are not.
Two positive things came out of this development. One of them is the first quantization, more precisely the theory of Planck. The second is the existence of a zero-point energy. Even though this existence seemed initially a merely mathematical fact, later it has been found by Boyer that it has a supporting electromagnetic field. In this instance the electromagnetic field reflects the properties of the light as they have been uncovered by Fresnel. The Boyer moment in our knowledge is therefore a missing link between the Fresnel’s geometrical theory of light and Maxwell’s electromagnetic theory.
However, speaking in terms of those forces in need of restoration of their right places in our knowledge, we have to admit that the task is not at all easy. Such a restoration may come with strings attached, for which the science might not be prepared. Not the least among these would be the non-conservation of energy, at least in the form usually accepted. Indeed, the energy conservation is a direct consequence of the definition of forces in the Newtonian manner. It cannot be therefore directly extended to the interactions represented by those forces.
