I. Introduction
The fact that Statistical Physics can be taken as a particular type of Statistical Inference does not seem to play too much of a theoretical role in Physics today. Bernard Lavenda, in the recent times, insisted upon this point but, in our opinion, not with the deserved success. It is perhaps the strong suggestion of subjectivity contained in the concept of inference that determines physicists to rely mostly upon the kinetic basis of statistical laws. Blaming the subjectivity is a little too unkind however, inasmuch as we have everywhere in Theoretical Physics an unacknowledged touch of subjectivity implicitly determining the course of Physics. At times this subjectivity is welcome and beneficial. However, most of the times it is hidden behind a logical pursuit of mathematical details, without too much care about the physical concepts or content to which these details relate. One such concept is that of photon. Starting from the middle of previous century, in its name has been created and developed a startling mathematics. Was this concept necessary? One of the classics of our times, Trevor Marshall, the creator of Random Electrodynamics declares that the photon is a myth (Marshall, Santos, 1997)! In the good manner of any scientific work, in a dedicated website Marshall presents reasons, convincing reasons. He also proposes alternatives for quantum concepts, sound although unfinished. The way deserves to be paved, and we think the starting point is where… everything has started: at the beginning of the last century! There (sic!) is the reason for everything that followed, for everything was already in place in the very beginning!
